Writing Lines 2

"If you plan on sitting down anytime soon, you'd better not let go of that pen! Also, you'd better keep that smart mouth of yours shut for a change!"

Alisha vividly recalled the warnings she had been given just before she started on her line-writing task. She was only halfway through, and her hand hurt from fighting against the constant pull of the weight on the pen. She had to hang on though! She didn't even want to THINK about the alternative! To make matters worse, she had to keep her mouth closed. That wasn't especially difficult, yet a single lapse in her efforts would lead to total humiliation!

As she continued writing, she wondered if she might possibly have gone too far. The last couple of "pranks" she had pulled were, perhaps, a bit much. Her most recent target had been her engineering professor, a pretty young woman only a few years older than she. Putting hundreds of tacks (extra long ones) on her teacher's office chair, so that they were hidden just under the surface of the fabric covering, had not made the teacher very happy. The young woman had discovered the tacks - all at once - when she had plopped her pretty backside down to begin some office work.

Then there was the camera that Alisha had hidden in the female staff's shower room. Fortunately the camera was discovered after only three staff members, her engineering teacher and two others, had used the showers. The three women were especially peeved when they learned that Alisha had emailed video of them to all of the students in their classes.

All attempts to get Alisha to cease and desist her wayward behavior were met with smirks, derision, and rude comments from the arrogant student. Unfortunately, the staff had been unable to get the school to take action against her - apparently Alisha had friends in high places.

However, that situation changed when the engineering professor was finally given permission to discipline the tyrannical student. Permission was granted for a "line writing" punishment. The teacher, vividly recalling her encounter with the tacks, took a somewhat liberal interpretation of the permitted chastisement and constructed a mechanism which she felt would provide an appropriate level of instruction. Then the teacher, assisted by the other two women who had been involved in the shower incident, placed the unruly student into the device and activated it.
